2000 Subaru Legacy Wagon GT-B E-Tune

The 2000 Subaru Legacy Touring Wagon GT-B E-Tune represents one of the most refined versions of Subaru’s legendary twin-turbo performance wagon. Power comes from Subaru’s twin-turbocharged 2.0L EJ20 boxer engine, factory rated at 260 horsepower. While the E-Tune carried the same advertised output as earlier automatic GT-B models, the driving experience is noticeably different. Revised engine, turbo, torque, and fuel mapping sharpened response and improved power delivery throughout the rev range. Earlier sequential twin-turbo systems were known for a slight hesitation or dead spot during the transition between turbos; the E-Tune refinements significantly improved this transition, creating a smoother, more linear power curve. The result is a car that feels quicker and more responsive in real-world acceleration despite sharing the same 260hp factory rating.

Subaru’s full-time Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive provides excellent year-round traction and stability, while the GT-B’s factory Bilstein suspension delivers a planted, controlled ride without sacrificing the everyday usability expected from a Legacy Touring Wagon. It is an excellent multipurpose performance vehicle—quick and engaging when desired, yet spacious and comfortable enough for daily driving, road trips, and outdoor use.

This example also retains a rare set of genuine 18-inch STI II SF5 Forester wheels, providing a period-correct Subaru performance appearance while maintaining its authentic JDM character. Factory dual sunroofs and roof rails further add to the versatility of the wagon, with the rails providing a practical foundation for cargo baskets, kayak carriers, and other outdoor equipment.

The interior remains exceptionally clean and original, featuring the desirable GT-B sport seating and factory equipment throughout.
